Malaysia Super League
The cup that offered by the FAM for the top rank league in the country. Was held in 1979, it was first intended primarily as a qualifying tournament for the the final knock-out stage of the Malaysia Cup. But then in 1982 the League Cup was introduced. Between 1989 to 1993 and 1998 to 2003, the league in Mlaysia was divided into two levels:
a) First Division : Malaysian Premier 1 league
b) Second Division : Malaysian Premier 2 League
Between 2004 to 2006, the professional football league in Malaysia was divided into 2 levels and 2 groups :
a) First Division : Malaysia Super League
b) Second Division : Malaysia Premier League Group A
c) Second Division Malaysia Premier League Group B
Then in 2007 and until now, the professional football league in Malaysia was only divided into 2 levels when Malaysia Premier League combined into 1 level
a) First Division : Malaysia Super League
b) Second Division : Malaysia Premier League
